Faster than you can say “Karma Chameleon?”

8:56 am - March 27, 2006 in MSDN Webcasts Weblog

SQL Server Gal has finally made her small screen debut. What took her so long, anyway?

She won't say, but obviously it takes some effort to get that orange highlight in her hair just right.

Can't get enough of the Source Fource? Don't worry, there is still one more character to be released. Check out the Source Fource site April 1 to find out the last character.  Are there any guesses as to who he/she may be? (No, it's not an April Fools joke, either!)

Virtually Indestructible

9:23 am - April 7, 2006 in MSDN Webcasts Weblog

Finally, he's here. Virtual Labs Guy.

This guy is a real character, as you can imagine. He's a little rough around the edges, but he's as smart as a whip, he has a strange, almost mystical sense of humor, and heck, he's pretty much got the best job in the world...aside from the MSDN Webcast Guy's job, of course.

Stop in to the Source Fource Website and check out Virtual Labs Guy. April is the last month to earn your Source Fource characters. Go to two live MSDN Webcasts or two MSDN Virtual Labs in April and submit the evaluation and you'll get your very own free-wheelin' Virtual Labs Guy.

Did you Miss the Fource? Good News!

2:16 pm - May 4, 2006 in MSDN Webcasts Weblog

Is everyone in your office running around with members of the Source Fource and you missed out? No worries.

Due to popular demand, the entire Fource will be available again, starting in June and running through September. This will be it, though, so get your missing characters while you can.

The rules are the same this time - go to two live MSDN webcasts or two MSDN virtual labs, or one of each, submit and eval, and you'll get your character of the month. Please note - the characters are shipped at the beginning of the month for the month prior, so if you don't get your guy or gal right away - please be patient.

And, if you're wondering why there still isn't a video finale to the Adventures of the Source Fource - it's coming. Those characters let the fame go to their heads and we had to really corral them back in to get them in the studio to finish their last video. Celebrities. I mean, give 'em a few minutes of fame and then there is just no reasoning with them.

Virtual Labs Guy Update

9:39 am - May 11, 2006 in MSDN Webcasts Weblog

If you attended two MSDN Webcasts or Virtual Labs and submitted evaluations last month, you qualified for the Virtual Labs Guy hero from the Source Fource. These characters should ship out the last week of May. They were held up a bit in transit, so we wanted to update you about this delay. Rest assured, they are coming - they're just fashionably late.

And, remember, if you missed any character in the Fource, you can qualify again from June - September by going to two MSDN Webcasts or Virtual Labs (and submitting an evaluation).

Going to TechEd? Not Going, But Still Want to Learn? Read On.

1:06 pm - May 24, 2006 in MSDN Webcasts Weblog

If you're going to TechEd in Boston in a few weeks, be sure to visit MSDN Webcasts and Virtual Labs. We'll be set up in a special community area across the hall from the hands-on labs area. We have some fun things in store for this year's event, including some surprises and special appearances. Stay tuned for some hints as to what we have planned.

If you're not going to TechEd, or you want to do a little-pre-TechEd learning,  check out our pre-TechEd webcasts for ITPros and developers. We'll also be simulcasting about 40 sessions during TechEd live, if you can't make it to Boston.  And if you're a blogger, join the party at: http://techedbloggers.net/ and you can always get more out of events and webcasts at: http://msdneventsbloggers.net.
